Wetland and Shoreland Overlay District

The Conservation Commission has developed a proposed Wetland and Shoreland Overlay District (WSOD) that would replace the existing Wetland Conservation Overlay District (WCOD) and the Shoreland Protection Overlay District (SPOD) ordinances.  After receiving many comments from members of the public, the commission is taking another look at the proposal.  Watch for this item on the agendas of the Conservation Commission and of three subcommittees that the commission has formed to review different sections of the proposal.  Feel free to email any comments to the Town Planner at mbehrendt@ci.durham.nh.us.  He will forward all comments to the commission for their consideration.  After the commission has completed this review of their proposal, they will forward a revised version (or the original) to the Planning Board.  The board will then review the proposal as time allows in its agenda.
