About the Planning Board

The Planning Board has numerous responsibilities related to the growth and development of the town.  The board reviews applications for site plans and subdivisions and proposed zoning amendments.  A key role of the board is in preparing and adopting the master plan, as outlined in RSA 674:2.

The board usually meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month in Council Chambers.  Meetings start at 7:00 pm.  However, be sure to check posted agendas or Meeting Dates & Deadlines on the right for the exact schedules.

Send any emails and letters to Michael Behrendt, Town Planner, at mbehrendt@ci.durham.nh.us or at the mailing address below.  He will forward the correspondence  the Planning Board members at your request or if the correspondence is pertinent to any Planning Board matter.

You can click on Current Applications and Completed Applications on the right to see all of the main documents for each application and Planning Board project.  You can find much useful and interesting information under Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Maps, Master Plan, and Other Planning Information, on the right.
