DCAT 22 Studios
In the Biz Spotlight on Wildcat Fitness. In recognition of the Ten Year Anniversary, Ken Entz, owner of Wildcat Fitness located in the Mill Plaza, talked about the history of his business and the community focus of their fitness center. In addition to exercise equipment, Wildcat Fitness offers a hydro massage center, healthy smoothies, a large variety of on-demand courses, and a variety of classes.
Students from Durham's Oyster River High School, Dover High School and
Pinkerton Academy in Derry participated in a day-long journalism
workshop at Oyster River High School Tuesday, September 18.
Sponsored by the Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications, the New
Hampshire Press Association and the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation,
the workshop featured New Hampshire First Congressional District
candidates Democrat Chris Pappas and Republican Eddie Edwards who
participated in a forum conducted by the students.

Salt River, "folk singers in the purest sense" (Face Magazine), consists of Lee Hosack, and Mike and Beverly Rogers and Cathy King. They are based in the seacoast area of Maine and perform traditional and original music reflecting the lifestyle and people of New England. They performed as part the Durham, NH Public Library's "Music on the Lawn" series July 18, 2018.
The Durham Public Library welcomes author David W. Moore to speak on his new book Small Town, Big Oil: The Untold Story of the Women Who Took on the Richest Man in the World — and Won. This book is a narrative account of the women who led the citizens of Durham, in the 1970s, to protect their community from billionaire Aristotle Onassis and big oil. Two of the women featured in the book, Dudley Dudley and Nancy Sandberg will join Moore in speaking at this event!
In October 2017 , Mark McPeak travelled for a month in India and Nepal with an old friend, Ricardo Gómez. They organized the voyage around the concept of visiting as many of the sites in the life of the historical Buddha as they could, moving around by train and bus and rickshaw. This is a recounting of the trip presented at the Durham (NH) Public Library January 18, 2018
