durham town hall to be closed friday (1/7/22) due to anticipated snow event

Dear Members of the Durham Community,

Snow is anticipated to begin early Friday morning (1/7/22) and end in the afternoon with the heaviest accumulations likely to occur during the morning commute through to midday. Durham DPW reports high confidence concerning the likelihood of the event with accumulation in the 6"- 8" range locally. Snowfall rates of up to 1 inch per hour along the coast extending across the greater Durham region will lead to limited visibility and slick roads tomorrow morning. Gusty winds Friday afternoon/evening will lead to localized blowing snow.

As such, the Durham Town Hall will be closed on Friday, 1/7/22.
