VI. Local Barre, 1 Madbury Road – Signage. Application for signage for new exercise studio going into the space formerly occupied by Bikram Yoga. Leighann Johnson and Amanda Parkhurst, applicant. Mark Henderson, c/o Pendexter Properties, property owner. Map 4, Lot 1.
VII. The Pines, 47 Dover Road – Fire Code. Request to consider determination of The Pines to be a historic building under NFPA 914 – Code for Fire Protection of Historic Structures. The Durham Fire Department has identified several items in the building which need to be addressed. The fire code allows for certain alternatives and exceptions for historic buildings. Discussion with John Powers, Deputy Fire Chief.

HDC/HC. HDC stands for Historic District Commission. HC stands for Heritage Commission. The commission is one body with two roles. The HDC reviews applications in the Historic District. The Heritage Commission’s broader role is to promote historic preservation throughout Durham.
