Farm Day
August 15, 2026
Join the Agricultural Commission in this annual celebration of the working landscape of farms and gardens across Durham, Lee, and Madbury. Free and family friendly. Highlights this year include guided tours of UNH Kingman Farm’s agroforestry research (and an opportunity to touch their tractors), the Community Gardens at Wagon Hill Farm, and the medicinal gardens of Misty Meadows Herbal Center.
There will be a food fermentation demonstration at the Freedom Café, just in time to learn how to preserve the harvest from local gardens and farms. And don’t forget the community bring-your-own-picnic at Laroche Farm as the Agricultural Commission will be providing sweet corn from Tecce Farm! Download the Brochure with the Day's activities below
