How long have you lived in Durham? 23 years
Have you previously served on any government/community, civil boards, commissions or organizations?
I served on the Durham economic committee for just over a year roughly 20 years ago, then moved to ORYA acting as president for several years, then treasurer through 2017-18. After leaving ORYA, I joined The James W Legacy Foundation in the fall of 2018 and have served as treasurer since then. I have volunteered my professional expertise to multiple local non-profits in setup, operations, and filings and will continue to do so.
Please provide a brief paragraph explaining your interest in being elected to the position for which you are running.
I have lived in town for some time and very often find complaints without full knowledge of the on-goings of the town and its financial operations. My intent, based on what I do know, is to further my understanding of the towns spending and operations and provide financial insight and perhaps a different view of spending trends. My goal is not to change without consideration, but to provide a different prospective of what others in town wish to see. There has been a long desegregation of town interests and what the town has done with its spending.
