I have served as a Library Trustee in Durham since 2022 and currently serve as vice chair.

Please provide a brief paragraph explaining your interest in being elected to the position for which you are running.

I am running for re-election as a Durham Public Library Trustee to give back to a community I enjoy being a part of. Although I have dedicated my career to academic libraries, public libraries are an equally important institution to me. I have been an avid public library user throughout my life, which includes living in six states and three countries. During my time as Trustee, I have contributed substantively to discussions about Durham Public Library policy and done my best to represent community needs, library ethics and applicable law while supporting our town's dedicated library employees.
