We reviewed the plan, criteria for approval, and existing conditions. In addition, we have walked the property several times. The Conservation Commission recommends approval for the CUP application for the locations shown on the plan for the East and West driveway entrances and surrounding area (including outfalls). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The proposed sewer line route and proposed trail crossings were briefly discussed but were not part of this application or approval. We request that the applicant provide several items to the town for us to better assess environmental impacts: 1. Information that describes sewer loading from the project and whether the current sewer treatment plant has capacity for the additional loading. 2. A drawing with a cut line for existing trees on the property. It is the desire of the Conservation Commission to retain as many large healthy trees as possible especially the mature hardwoods on the east and South sides of the property. 3. Any information the applicant has on the volume of mature trees that will be removed. This would help to develop an assessment of total valuable biomass that will be removed in the project. 4. Construction management plan with details on how the project will ensure the impacts of civil work is confined to the property. A lot of dirt is moving and we don’t want impacts to adjacent wetlands or from roadway runoff due to trucking. Thank you, Robert Sullivan Chair, Durham Conservation Commission
