Dear Michael and members of the Planning Board:
 
It is important to get the details right as we come into the 
final stretch of the latest chapter in Durham’s 
evolution.  Signage is key.  Of all the new construction 
Pauly’s building is the best looking addition to our town.  But 
it goes wildly off track with the proposed signs which would 
be more at home in a strip mall, not at the major 
intersection of our traditional New England Main Street.  I 
could support projecting signs of a more subdued design and 
suggest checking out websites like Cider Hill Woodworks that 
is responsible for many of the handsome signs 
in Portsmouth

insist on signs that are beautiful and add value to our new 
buildings with integrity and character.
