Concerning the Mill Pond Center, I disagree with the Town Planner when he suggested that "with the addition of house lots that permissions to allow for activities other than residential use of the Mill Pond Center Property be withdrawn so that potential traffic will not disturb the new home owners". Given that the site's current usage isn't hidden, anyone purchasing a house here knows there may be occasional traffic. To deny other activities here which benefit many for a few new homeowners seems unjustifiable and poorly thought out--almost undemocratic. Please do not accept this recommendation. Regarding the Durham Business Park, I find it difficult to imagine the State will allow however many units may eventually be in this eldercare setting that dumps out onto Route 4. The hazards ambulances (and all the other traffic this usage will necessitate) will face as they try to enter/exit the park onto this busy road are abundant. Perhaps this should be looked into before too much time is invested by all parties involved. I also feel it is very short-sighted for the town to be considering another large development at this time. Until those projects already underway are completed and the impact is known, not what was predicted but actually known, it seems the wise choice would be to slow down. Sincerely, Carol Tuveson 11 Watson Road
