We located these last Friday when we were locating the Route 108 towards Newmarket for sight distance for the driveway permit. There is about 28’ between the stone pillars. You will also notice I added an the extents of a permanent easement the State has over the stone walls and pillars in question to “construct, reconstruct, maintain and repair”. We were finally able to tie down the limits of new ROW of 108 and the easement mentioned above at the end of last week due to snow melt. I have attached the deed for your reference (easement outlined in red). Also attached are pictures I took last week of the stone walls, pillars and the existing driveway. You will notice that other than the few dead trees that may have to be removed the rest of the vegetation is very small saplings. The short of this is that the improvements that are proposed to the existing driveway (have been singed off by town engineer and emergency response) is very minimal and will actually make the entrance look better rather than the disrepair that it appears now. Please let me know if you need anything further. I have yet to revise the plans to a 30’ easement or submit a waiver as I have not heard which way the town would like us to address it at this point.
