The Administration Division is responsible for the
strategic planning of the fire department, ll phases of budgeting,
clerical activities and department operations, assignment of programs
to the prevention and suppression divisions while establishing,
administering and enforcing policies and procedures.
The dedicated professionals of the Durham Fire Department
are committed to providing quality fire protection and emergency
services to the community. We continue to face the expanding
responsibilities and demands from the community while maintaining
a cost-effective service.
The fire service will be continuously challenged to
meet the public's demands. Our personnel successfully balance
emergency response priorities with required staff responsibilities.
The strength of our organizational resources is enhanced due to
our participatory management techniques and delegation of program
responsibilities.
